While Aruba is known for its stunning turquoise water and soft white beaches, the happy island has many other things to offer. We recently visited this tropical paradise and listed below was our perfect itinerary for seeing the best of Aruba.
(Our go-to's for vacation bookings are booking.com, Kayak, Expedia, Priceline, or Travelocity. I'm a bargain shopper always so check them all and find the best deal for you. We booked this vacation package through CheapCaribbean.com )
Day 1:
Explore the resort! We checked into the Renaissance Aruba around 4:30PM and immediately set out to explore the restaurants, resort, and the city.
Day 2:
Flamingo Beach and Iguana Beach on Renaissance's private island. This island is available for guests of the Renaissance hotel only. We happily took the short eight-minute boat ride from the hotel to the island and spent the entire day lounging, taste testing drinks and food from the island restaurants and bars, and floating in the crystal clear water. It was an absolute dream to visit this place!

Day 3:
Jolly Pirates Snorkel Tour and Rope Swing followed by an evening at Flying Fishbone restaurant for fresh seafood. We booked a four-hour snorkel tour with Jolly Pirates and had a fantastic time! We would highly recommend doing a snorkeling excursion during your stay in Aruba. You go to multiple locations to snorkel and explore the sea life and search for sea turtle friends. Flying Fishbone is located on the beach with some tables (that require reservations far in advance) actually in the water! The atmosphere can't be beaten and I can say the same for the food.
Day 4:
Spend the day beach hopping at Palm Beach, Eagle Beach, Malmook and Arashi Beaches followed by visiting the California lighthouse. Even though we stayed at the Renaissance resort under an all-inclusive plan, we didn't want to miss out on the rest of the beautiful beaches in Aruba. So we mapped out beaches close to each other, packed up some sunscreen and a camera, and headed out for the day!
Day 5:
Back to flamingo beach for some more private island time! We tried to get a good mix of relaxing and exploring during our stay in Aruba.
Day 6:
Explore downtown Oranjestad, Bushiribana ruins, Arikok National Park, and the donkey sanctuary. This was our busiest day of walking by a long shot but totally worth it. Since we stayed at the Renaissance resort, downtown was just a short walk outside of the hotel. The city is quaint with beautiful architecture and has some awesome photo backdrops. Since the city is small, we did some brief exploring and headed out to the Arikok National Park and spent the rest of the day. The park is pretty expansive so you'll need a good chunk of time to see everything there.
Day 7:
Relax and soak up the sun one more time before heading back to reality. We LOVED our stay in Aruba! If you like a good mix of exploring and beach lounging, Aruba is a definite must to add to your vacation list.
